<p>Thank you for visiting learnchinesepod.com.  My name is Yao and am the founder of this pod cast.  I started teaching Mandarin Chinese since 1999 in Shanghai and currently giving Chinese in New York City.  Not long time ago, I discovered Podcasting and amazed by it&#8217;s philosophy and popularity(Along with Steve Job&#8217;s famous and cute iPOD!!)</p>
<p>I have successful teaching experience and published Mandarin Chinese related book. My objective is to develop the best podcasting material to support worldwide Mandarin learners. I don&#8217;t want to repeat the advantage of learning languages through podcasting&#8230; as if you are here reading this posting, you should well be aware of this.</p>
<p>We are still in the experimental period and critically need your feedback. We would love to hear any of your opinions, suggestions and/or ideas.</p>

<p>What is that? – Nà shì shénme?</p>
<p>You have learned so far two different way to ask questions:<br />
1) with “ma”    - Yes-or-No question<br />
2) with “shìbúshì” structure<br />
Questions are important and they are key to our daily conversation since not only you can obtain information from other person, you can also show your interest!</p>
<p>We are going to teach you another very useful way to ask questions using “shénme”.  This episode is important, because the three new words we are going to learn appear frequently into any conversation.  </p>
